Kloris responds 5 questions about the CBD industry (Interview)

That is why the founders spent months searching the globe for the purest CBD, cultivated and extracted in the most respectful and sustainable way and then blended it with organic ingredients to deliver products that are truly a joy to use, with efficacy the core purpose.

This english brand is all about harnessing the healing power of nature, combined with good science, ethical business and respect for the environment.

1) When did the idea of creating your brand come up and when did you officially create it? Where are you located?

We had all discovered that plant-based remedies could help us with everyday things like sleep, mood and skincare but we felt frustrated at the lack of premium quality, science driven and beautifully designed natural options available on the market. So, in 2018, we decided to do something about it.

After carrying out months of research and product formulation, we launched KLORIS with a small range of premium-quality CBD based products. We are based in the UK and all of our products are manufactured here. We officially turn 3 this year.

The ethos behind the brand and products is present throughout.t always begins with efficacy – what do we want the product to do? From there, we look to the natural ingredients that will help us achieve the desired result and what doses they need to be present in. At each stage, we work with scientists who are experts in their fields to help us reach the optimum formulation.

There are a lot of gimmick products on the market that contain either tiny amounts of CBD, or mix CBD with other substances which means the CBD won’t be taken up by the body. We make sure every ingredient in our products has a purpose. Our award-winning face oil for example has only 4 ingredients, all of them plant-based. KLORIS is the opposite of anything gimmicky.

2) Being a still stigmatised industry, why did you decide to create a company with a main focus on CBD and cannabis? 

We felt moved to create something fresh within this space because we had all felt the positive results of CBD and plant based solutions first hand, we just couldn’t find anything that ticked all of our requirements. As entrepreneurs we decided to create exactly what we wanted because we felt other people would appreciate this too.

3) What kind of products do you specialise in?

Premium, results driven oral CBD drops, skincare and topicals. All focus on natural ingredients that are sustainably sourced. Our range of premium skincare and bathing products is particularly unique as it uses natural ingredients to bring out the best aspects of CBD’s properties for the skin. It’s been amazing to see this recognised by world-class brands like BVLGARI, who we’ve partnered with to curate a signature massage experience for their London spa.

4) What was/is the biggest obstacle you encountered as a company? Especially being a company linked to the world of cannabis and CBD.

Education and misunderstanding about what CBD does was / is a big issue with potential customers. CBD is a very new area, and so building customer trust is key. From the beginning, we set out to build KLORIS as a premium wellness brand that pays attention to every aspect of the product and the customer experience, stays true to its values, and pays respect to natural ingredients and the planet.

5) What would you recommend to someone who is thinking about starting in the world of cannabis and CBD at a business level?

Always approach it from an authentic starting place. You have to establish right from the start what your core values are and then always be true to them – whether you’re dealing with customers, suppliers, partners or employees.
